Classicgas Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 My Tamiya 66 Karmann Ghia. She was featured in the Nov/Dec 2011 issue of The Great Britian Karmann Ghia club's magazine Karmann Komment. Now on to the model.
PARTSMARTY Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 That is a great build-great color choice Lee !!!
Dave Darby Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Gorgeous. I've always been a sucker for a Karmann Ghia. Hard to believe those same guys (Ghia) built the Lincoln Futura body. Anyway, super nice work!
Belugawrx Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Hey LeeGood to see you posting ,...Always liked this Karmann of yours !Cheers
espo Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Very nice clean build. Are the trunk lid emblems photo etched or raised plastic ??
THarrison351 Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Wow, that looks really sharp. The only thing you might want to change is the trim down the sides. They are two thin strips instead of one wide one.
TooOld Posted June 25, 2017 Posted June 25, 2017 Excellent ! Don't see enough of these and yours is a great example with beautiful paint and lots of detailing . Would love to see more pics of the engine !
Dann Tier Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Extremely cool!!! -I especially love the detail work in the engine bay!
Johnt671 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 I've always like those cars. Before I went in the service in 1969 I worked at a car wash that had a contract with the local Volkswagan dealer to remove the cosmoline from the new cars. I got to drive them fresh off the trailer. Yours turned out beautiful.
retired & glad Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 I've owned quite a few VW's in life but never a Ghia. Nice one you have there. Keep up the excellent work.Richard
