moparfarmer Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 I've never done a new topic but here goes.. I haven't built in 18 years and had a friend(Wally Breer) graft a 2 dr sedan roof on a 64 Lindberg Plymouth..Finally after a year and half I finished it..Not perfect but I'am happy..No wiring/plumbing etc (dexterity and patience) have lots to do with that..Basically done box stock..Has flaws,,critics? go ahead..The grill since the pictures has been chromed on top with the Molotow pen..Hope the pictures turn out so you can see..This car fought me all the way, but I guess not building in almost 2 decades that will happen...Thanks...
Slotto Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Very nice. Dont let it be another 2 decades for the next one! What color did you use for the body?
moparfarmer Posted July 5, 2017 Author Posted July 5, 2017 Duplicolor Perfect Match Toyota Light Champagne..
espo Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Very clean looking build. The body alterations can't be seen in the photos.
CometMan Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Nice come-back, Wayne. It looks really good. I wouldn't say that the car fought you because of your "rusty" skills. I would say the car fought you because the box said "Lindberg" on it!
Mike Chernecki Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Wayne, looks great! Good to see something new from you.
moparfarmer Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 Nice come-back, Wayne. It looks really good. I wouldn't say that the car fought you because of your "rusty" skills. I would say the car fought you because the box said "Lindberg" on it! It started out with the primer..I primed in black thinking it would make the color coats a touch darker..Wrong..Next was the color..I hate anything Toyota and Yota was getting even with me,,didn't cover well, showed marks etc..Never should have used Toyota color...LOL
berr13 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Great looking model! First time I've seen this particular conversion, and you've done it right!
bytownshaker Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Looks great Wayne, now on to your next build cause it doesn't look like you haven't built anything in 18 years.
StevenGuthmiller Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Very nice Wayne! I hope this finished project lights a renewed fire under you & gets you back to a more regular building schedule! Now I just need to rekindle my fire, get my shop up to speed & get back to it. I can hardly wait to get back to the bench! Nice work! Steve
