jeff f Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 (edited) I have seen pics of a chopped 32 3 window Ford at 2017 SEMA . It's British racing green with black Dayton wires . Looks to have an 8 stack 312 Ford engine also . I think it's just too cool ! So here goes . Thanks Jeff . Edited December 3, 2017 by jeff f
TooOld Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 That chopped '32 at the SEMA show is definitely a nice one ! You're off to a great start with those wheels and tires !
Jonathan Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Sweet! Is this inspired by the Brooklands Special w/ the Right Hand Drive? Looking forward to seeing more - nice work on those wheels!
Phildaupho Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Definitely a very cool wheel and tire combo. Tell us more.

jeff f Posted November 11, 2017 Author Posted November 11, 2017 Wheels & Tires . My favorite way to start a model . The wheels are from Monogram 1/24 30 Ford with aluminum rings at the rear . I made the two bar spinners from aluminum also . The rear tires are 32 kit generic Goodyears . Fronts are Monogram frontrunners from drag kits . They are bored out to a scale 20 inches . I have a can of Tamiya AS - 21 dark green I'll use with clear . Working on the motor - trans , and top chop . This will be a shelf model only . Thanks for looking in , Jeff .
1930fordpickup Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Can't wait for this one. I really like the color choice.
PARTSMARTY Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Can't wait for this one. I really like the color choice. x2
Dennis Lacy Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Nice! The wheels look like modified Monogram Model A?
jeff f Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 This weekend I got the Y block mated to the 302 auto trans and worked on the roof . Pretty happy with the stance after moving the axles up a bit . Things are looking ready for paint I guess . Thanks again Jeff .
jeff f Posted November 14, 2017 Author Posted November 14, 2017 After three rounds of detail work , sanding and priming the body is ready for color . I found another pic of the car that shows a LS with old valve covers , no thanks . Still thinking about the injection manifold as the intake ports are in vertical pairs . Jeff .
Mr. Metallic Posted November 15, 2017 Posted November 15, 2017 Man, those wheels and tires are sweet. And that chop is really nicely done. I'm following
jeff f Posted November 17, 2017 Author Posted November 17, 2017 I'm still working on the 32 , flat out strange for me . The green AS- 21 is done with Wet Look . I don't see any blue tint in it though . But it probably matches 1-1 car better . Hope to rolling stock under her this weekend . Have fun Jeff .
RAT-T Posted November 17, 2017 Posted November 17, 2017 JEFF, THE COLOR SEEMS LIGHTER THAN THE COLOR CHIP, I THINK IT LOOKS GREAT
geewhiz Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 For me one word says it all...Sweet!!!?????????

Impalow Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Well.. thats just purdy.... great work jeff!
Draggon Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 This is the singular exception to my #1 rule that big-wheel 32's do not look right. I really dig this. The 3/4 rear shot is outstanding!
Phildaupho Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Very impressive chop job. Putting that extra piece in really helped. You also did a great job blending it in and making it disappear.
jeff f Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 Thanks guys Glenn theres a 32 that pre dates this one . google Dave Lane at Fastlane rod shop and check out his builds , the dark yellow one . You will be inspired .Jeff .
