Some new stuff for February..........only the Fairlane I might have an interest in, the other kits I'm no too crazy about as I either have them, or they just don't strike my fancy.

OK, but what's my excuse?

"It's February... love is in the air and product is in the warehouse!"

Always wondered why the kangaroo was giving me that seductive look.

This is going to be an expensive quarter for me. Despite what others my feel I'll be getting the Edsel, I still have one of the original issues but I like how they redo these. For builders who like the Continental kits this will offer a bonus. The Fairlane kit was very nice when it came out and I'll have to do another one. The El Camino is a given for me I envision  more than one of these. The Pontiac is the same thing, got to have a couple. This Jeepster is something I might not think of normally but  this is something I'd like to try. Like I said a very expensive quarter ahead.

I wish they would re-nose that El Camino back to a standard issue version. That SS nose is terrible. And other than the jeep, this selection is a real snoozer.

Wallet is safe again.  Which is good, since we are in the process of moving.

Same here Gerry! It's one of the reasons I haven't posted anything new on the Shelby. I'd like to move at the end of next month, or the first weekend in April. The hardest thing of course is packing up all the model stuff! Moving isn't so bad....it's the hobby shop you have to take with you when you go!

Round2 will be getting my money for the Edsel.   It was one of their best kits the last time I bought one, and I want to replace the one I lost in a move.   The Continental kit is a new addition, and that could be useful for any number of '50s style builds.

In fact, I will say, if Round2 feels like cutting a set of moulds for any other iconic 50s cars with that same level of quality, they will get my money for that as well.    Same goes if they decide to re-release any of the Connoisseur Classics.

I might get the El Camino for the dirt bike, my dad had a Choo Choo customs version back in the day.

I like the Mountain Goat one and the mini bike extra in the Elcamino kit too Bruce...Id love to be able to make a replica of my old custom 75 Dodge van someday.

You did see the '57 Chrysler 300C is being reissued, right? I don't think that ever came with a continental kit (the kit, not the real car), and not sure if it'll have the custom parts, too (like the '62 Pontiac Catalina), or not, though.

I saw that one, and that is another good one, though I still have that one from the last time it was out.

Some nifty stuff there . I'll likely pick up the '62 Catalina and the El Camino ( isn't the '65 slated for reissue as well ? If so , I hope that the companion '65 wagon make another round ) .

What engine is supposed to be in the Jeep ? Dauntless V6 ? AMC V8 ?

V8 IIRC...by 72-73 they weren't using the Buick V6 anymore...the '65 Chevelle wagon was out in the last 10 years in 'Superwagon' box art IIRC..

Thanks , Rob . I couldn't tell by the images ; and , I assumed that this kit was the genesis of the Jeepster of c.1971 .

The '65 wagon Superwagon is an elusive kit , price-wise -- even the c.1987 issue (yellow on the box) is a bit pricy for me .

Amen to that.  The unbuilt models, the tools, paints, paint booth, airbrushes, HO scale stuff never unpacked when we moved here, etc.  I actually gave away some built models that were less interesting to me to help lighten the load.
