Prince Ital Mike Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Hallo, I'd like to share my latest build, a Cranky-inspired (thanks, Doc) flying VW Beetle. I've used a Hasegawa kit with various parts from the parts box, wires, hoses etc. Decals are Eduard and Airfix. It was a fun build and a source of a great enjoyment for me. Original inspiration came from the pictures of Alejandro Burdisio: Cranky's version on the YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI6wTgOkYHE Some WIP pictures: Finished model: Thank you for your attention!
Jantrix Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 That looks like a heck of a lot of fun. Well done. The Doc used to be a fixture around here but reasons unknown (to me anyway), he's stopped posting a couple years ago. Too bad, I always enjoyed his posts.

philo426 Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Very creative but those loose wires could easily get snagged on something with perhaps tragic results.

philo426 Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Yes I realize you are just following the art work that inspired it.
Edward Gore Posted March 20, 2018 Posted March 20, 2018 That looks like it was a lot of fun. Cool little flying ride!
Dave Ambrose Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Very cool. You’ll have to suspend it in your display case.
Jim B Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 That's pretty cool! It kind of reminds me of something (like a movie, or TV show, or something I've seen), but I can't put my finger on it. Very interesting, though. I like it.
peteski Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Interesting model and creative use of generic household items - I like it!
oldnslow Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I really like the style of these , but I think start thinking about everyday use , how do they land with all that hanging underneath and if the don't , how did they get the luggage on top of the car ? And how do they unload it ? It looks similar to steampunk , but further out there .
Prince Ital Mike Posted October 16, 2018 Author Posted October 16, 2018 Thank you, guys. I don't think these cars ever land. However, I found some pictures of the workshops...
peteski Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 These are fantasy (not functional, or logically designed) vehicles.
