mchook Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Well here it is, finally done. I used 2 cabs & interiors & lots of evergreen styrene. Everything behind the cab is scratch built along with lots of other stuff. Thanks for looking! 2
Platerpants Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Now that is a COOL build! Looks Great! Did you lengthen the cab or was it resin?

It was an ebay glue bomb that someone tried to stretch. After removing the paint & seeing what a mess it was, it was easier to cut it off & start fresh with another cab.
espo Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Amazing looking, especially the bed and the boom parts. Very realistic in everyway. The "sling" even looks functional.
bill lanfear Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 I watched the build under workbench, fantastic job all around!
Maindrian Pace Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Outstanding in all areas, superior. The only other thing I would expect to see on a truck like that would be the company name on the doors, in a nice '70s tow truck font, possibly with license/GVWR numbers on the rear doors.
DeeCee Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 That's a tough looking build, nice work on the back half especially.
mchook Posted April 15, 2018 Author Posted April 15, 2018 Thanks guys, I tried to get a pic of the pto, 4 speed & other stuff but I just can't seem to get a good shot.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I like what you've come up with here! Looks Great! Great work!! I've towed a lot of miles in a 69 Ford with a bed similar to this one. Boy that's a long P.T.O. shaft.
mustang1989 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Good idea and great work on this bad boy. Thumbs up man.
Lunajammer Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Very nicely crafted. I like everything about it.
bbowser Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Great work! I've got an extended cab '55 Ford in a box, it's not an easy conversion. Yours looks outstanding.
Mercuryman54 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Looks Great! Fantastic build! I like it very much! Dennis
mchook Posted April 24, 2018 Author Posted April 24, 2018 (edited) Thanks everyone! A few more pics of it at work. Just pulled this old hearse into the garage to work on. Edited April 25, 2018 by mchook
DumpyDan Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Awesome truck, are there any pic's while you were building it?

Thanks, It is in the "on the workbench" section but some of the pics are gone. They were lost on an old computer that quit & I didn't back anything up. Here are a couple I found of it being built. & Thanks to everyone for all the great comments!!!
