I had this one saved on my desktop. Don't know anything about it, was this a production car?

It's kinda cool?

I may be wrong, but it reminds me of a car Chrysler Corp. subsidiary offered in Australia and this is their performance model.

Ya that's the one I was thinking of. There was a very brief TV series that focused on the Australian car scene and one of the programs centered on one of these that had been restored. I thought it was an interesting looking car and story.

At least it's not a Ford!

Road tests of the era recorded quarter-mile times of between 14.1 and 14.5 seconds. 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) in 14.1 seconds was the norm. This compares to times of 14.6 for the next quickest accelerating Australian muscle car, the Ford XY Falcon GT-HO (Phase III).

Might be that it carries a lot of Chrysler’s design aesthetic, of the period, but is ”different” at the same time.  I’ve noticed that with the Holdens and Fords of the era as well as what Holden products that were sold here by Pontiac and Chevy in the last 15+ years.

I have always liked the UTE type vehicles from Australian. I liked the Monero especially and actually bought a new '05 Pontiac branded GTO.  LS2 engine and a 6 speed stick, what's not to like. I was all set to trade it for the Pontiac UTE they where teasing us with and then GM lost their minds and killed the Pontiac brand. Nothing but MoPars in our garage ever since. GM has lost 5 sales since then in this household alone.

Peel Trident (first pic) and Peel P50 (second pic). Two very small automobiles. The Trident was actually the world’s smallest production car for a while.

I remember years ago when Top Gear, UK proper version, had a few shows with these in them. Very funning.

Yup, you’re right! That’s actually why I thought about the Peels ?

Some fun from Goodwood Road & Racing,

if you like fast cars vintage or otherwise do check out there channel. They have been dropping some great videos during this Covid thing.

Very nice car but if i had spent 20k on it I'd sure fix that shroud. That's to nice of a car to cheap out on.
