Leftovers tonight, but last night the wife threw together some quick "pizza muffins".

They look messy, but they're pretty tasty.

Refrigerated biscuit dough with Canadian bacon, onions, cherry tomatoes, anchovies, sauce and cheese.

Heart attack on a plate with sea cockroaches. Fermented fruit juice. Garlic bread.

Looks delicious!!

Somehow I think that it was probably better than the Jack's frozen pizza that I had for dinner.

But I believe the giant spread that we will consume tomorrow will make up for it! ;)

Last of the Thanksgiving leftovers. This was the first time I've cooked and had people in since I moved into this place 4 years back. The chow was a hit. Turkey stuffed with onions, oranges and white wine, rubbed with garlic and olive oil (it steams from the inside as the oranges and onions cook, making the sweetest, most moist meat imaginable). Stuffing made separately from cubed pumpernickel, cinnamon bread, and potato rolls, with raisins and sausage. Lumpy skin-on mashed potatoes with rutabaga, cream, lotsa butter, and a LOT of real gravy from the bird drippings. For something green, steamed Brussels sprouts in butter. Store-bought pumpkin pie as good as any I've ever had, topped with heavy cream. Even though I made twice as much stuffing and 3X the gravy I thought we'd need, I only ended up with 2 days worth of leftovers for me. Even the folks who'd eaten elsewhere before they got here cleaned their plates. B)

I still have a few leftovers from Thanksgiving left, but I'm sure they won't last long.

Our dinner is very traditional.

Everybody expects it to be the same every year. :D

Roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.

I use fresh sweet potatoes but still do them traditionally with brown sugar and marshmallows.

Stuffing consists of regular wheat or white bread with onions, celery, pork sausage and apples.

The most unusual part of our traditional meal is an old recipe that my mother and grandmother always made.

Creamed peas & carrots.

fresh carrot slices, simmered in chicken stock, butter & onions until tender and then canned peas, (because that's what mom used) and heavy cream are added.

This is a perfect dish for individuals who claim they don't like vegetables.

Even the veggie haters in my family love this one.

I made a huge pot of turkey vegetable soup from the carcass of the Thanksgiving Turkey on Friday. Made about 5 gallons. Been having it every night since because I have no freezer space left. Gave some to a neighbor. Still enough for a week. Last night I added a cube steak sandwich just to change it up a bit. LOL

Thanksgiving leftovers tonight.

I don't care for re-heated turkey, so a nice turkey sandwich, along with stuffing, sweet potatoes and peas & carrots was the menu tonight.

I ate too much again!

Later on, a piece of pumpkin pie or a pumpkin bar with cream cheese frosting. :P

Round eye steak marinated all day in Brazilian Steakhouse flavoring (used lime juice instead of red wine vinegar).  It may be the last decent weather (50's and no rain/wind) so had to grill out (charcoal) one last time.  Cheezy Cheddar potatoes as a side.

Last night, fried pork chops, mashed potatoes with gravy made from the pork chop pan leavings, peas & carrots and a hunk of Gouda cheese!

Mandarin oranges for dessert.

Leftovers !

Made a kind of shepherd's pie with leftover turkey and mashed potatoes. Made a roux with chopped onion. Added half and half and chicken broth. Chopped turkey and diced carrots. Because we are weird in California and my spouse doesn’t really like peas, a handful of shelled edamame was added. Into ramekins with mashed potatoes on top. Bake until it bloops, then broil to brown the mashed potato topping.

Oh, salad leftovers from a bag, and fermented grape juice  (from France ):o

Chicken breast seasoned with Greek seasoning then sautéed in olive oil and chopped garlic. With the drippings I added 2 tables butter then 2 tbs of sour cream to make it a cream sauce. Mashed potatoes with sour cream and chives with ginger/honey glazed carrots.
