Gramps46 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 (edited) Back in the 1960's models of foreign race cars were hard to find. One option inspired by Don Emmonds articles in hot rod magazines was to carve your own in wood! Bare in mind though that references were not easy to find either except B&W photos in magazines like Road & Track. Below are my some of my efforts back then. Edited July 2, 2018 by Gramps46 spelling
jaxenro Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 These look great for being carved from wood how did you make the wheels?

bbowser Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 How anyone can carve pieces like this and get them symmetrical amazes me! Great models.
bisc63 Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 A shame you didn't keep one or two in natural wood finish to showcase the purity of the craft. Really nice work!
Richard Bartrop Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Nicely done, especially considering what you had to work with.
misterNNL Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Great models. Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship with us.
