This is just an opinion check. I have somehow gotten hooked on building engines. I buy some on eBay from breakers, I have many in the junkpile, I have some unbuilt kit which could very well go curbside if they have an interesting engine and I have also scratchbuilt a few. Some have been part of the build they're part of, others have their own thread and many are shown in my engine shop dio. What if I made a thread just for my engines where I could show all of them in one place? Would that be too much of one thing?

I think it would be great...possibly very informative, and a source of ideas for builders who wanted something different, and technically accurate.

I rely on you for the technically accurate stuff. ^_^

I'm with Bill on this one.

Would be a good reference for guys like me who don;t have the tech knowledge on this stuff.

How many pictures? At the risk of being over-critical, quite a few posts show pictures of a model that has been rotated (perhaps) 20 degrees between shots, and it ends up being almost 40 - 50 images.

Probably 2 per engine, 3/4 front, 3/4 rear and/or from above if there is anything interesting on top.

Initial reactions are positive, so we are looking at this plus six or seven scratchbuilt which went into various vehicles. What should I call this thread?

Very impressive engine collection. I would welcome any information and detailing techniques you may have to offer.

I think they should be individually shown. This picture is too far from the detail.

As far as the title, how about "Engine Thread". You started it, now post the pics. Don't make us beg. OK - Pleeze!

Also, do be kind and identify each one for us neophytes. I'm not familiar with every powerplant.

How about separate threads, based on the manufacturer, rather than a single thread with 100 - 150 pictures?

A thread for FoMoCo, another for GM, then Chrysler, and (if applicable) foreign vehicles.

Great idea, like the articles Tim Boyd did for SA.

That makes sense, however, that will be an awful pile of threads to follow. Another question, where do I put it (them)? General?
