Jantrix
Built for this years Cannonball Run with our in-liners theme. Revell Goodguys 41Willys. It's got a turbo'd and efi'd slant six from the Lindberg Dodge 330, with a Mopar five speed tranny. Please note that I am NOT a mechanic. I know there are probably better ways to do the turbo, but I did the best I could with limited knowledge and Google. I wanted it to be unusual and eye catching, but look functional. As always comments, criticisms, and questions are welcome. Edited December 12, 2018 by Jantrix

TooOld
Very cool ! It turned out great and is definitely an eye catcher ! I am a mechanic but I never nit pick , these are models and your turbo setup looks good to me .
Lunajammer
Great work Rob. That turbo looks fussy, but you did a first rate job on it. Clever use of space for the inter-cooler.

Can-Con
Looks really good But I'm gonna be that guy , with the intercooler mounted directly to the firewall, wouldn't that severely block airflow through it and make it useless? After all, it's just an air to air radiator, right?
Jantrix
Steve, there is a gap behind the intercooler, it's on a bracket, but most likely you are right. This was my reference. I appreciate the interest.
Can-Con
Just playing Devil's Advocate there Rob. After all, it's a model and a bit of "creative engineering" is part of the fun of building customs and hot rods. Jantrix
I quite agree. I try for "technical plausibility". However I will fudge a bit to get the look I'm after.
