This looks pretty awesome!! I have wanted to build one of these. Is there a build thread on this and do you have dimensions?

I don´t want to hijack the thread but I don´t want to keep anything as a secret either. This is the link to the original build thread:

And this is where I took some info from:

http://www.jige-international.com/recovery-vehicles,underlifts,bras-us,holmes-dtu,1,56,32.html

My D.T.U  is not to scale, the dimensions are just eyeballed. When  building the model I have been watching a lot of internet pictures.

Thanks! A lot of great info! I hope that you won't mind if I use it to make a D.T.U. myself one day.

Wow, these are some amazing trucks! I don't know if you guys consider it a "Big Rig" but here's my Ford C600 I built years ago.

Is the Holmes scratchbuilt?

Here's one of my favorite wreckers I've built, the Syracuse NY DPW Autocar . I used the dump truck kit ,  KFS Holmes 750 parts, and my scratchbuilt wrecker body. I swapped in a proper DD engine

It is not currently in production, but scan eBay and I am sure someone is selling one. The trouble is that it is probably $200 or more. If you are patient, it could be re-issued once Revell of Germany gets it's US distribution figured out as I think they sell out quickly every time they release them.
