Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Finished this morning. Lindberg kit, reissued by Round 2 under the AMT name brand. The kit goes together as a dream, no fit issues to speak of. The only bad parts are the wheels, that are the Kelsey Haines made for the Pace Car and it's replicas. Those were true wire wheels, and I hate wire wheels. For my taste, a steel wheel and dog dish is the dream look. A full wheel cover is next. NO alloy wheels, or wire wheels, thank you very much. Since I was building a regular Sunliner, had to source the nicer wheels. Thought about making resin copies from the Lindberg Crestline Victoria kit, but ended solving the problem with ease. Just got one of those cheap Welly die cast '53 Fords, and used the tires, and wheels. They are copies of the LIndberg parts anyway, and I didn't have to worry about casting parts. The paint I used is automotive synthetic enamel, for the body, and Revell and Testors acrylics for the rest. Foil is home made. Built both tops, and didn't glue any to the car, so it can be displayed with top up, or down. Hope you like her!! 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr

StevenGuthmiller Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Excellent Tulio! I've never had this kit. I didn't realize that it cam with an uptop. I might have to pick one up. Steve
echo Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Really a beautiful build, your Fords are really exceptional. It was nice that Lindberg included an up top , all convertible model kits should include one.
