Traditionally the Batmobile, and even Batman was blue. This was likely due to printing limitations at the time, but there is presidence for the blue idea.

One of the '66 Batmobile kits comes with some sort of turbine engine.

Not to be picky and I hope you don't mind the comment but the rear fin looks sort of shark like. Would you consider maybe adding a couple of scallops to the trailing edge?

You could always go pink for BatGirl, or baby bu for Robin. :D

Wouldn't Robin be green and red??

You could always glue the hood shut and not worry about the engine.

I had given that some thought. I could say whatever I want is in there.

Looks like a sharknose Graham.

There's a little bit of everything in that thing.  the grille is a little Studebaker, a little Lincoln, the wheels could be Cord, and the headlights could be '39 Plymouth too.

Saw this one in the Museum of American History in DC.  I am pretty sure the color is partially due to lighting around the display, but I don't believe a black car would reflect that much of a purple hue.

That's very fitting place for that to be DC (DC Comics)

Maybe you should paint black highlights in it, than go over top of them in a slightly transparent blue. Not only Giving you the best of both worlds, but also giving it that comic book look to it.

The rear fin looks good with the scallops

the front fins look a little off to me but I think it would be too plain without them and I can’t recommend anything better

btw I hope I don’t sound critical I really like it
