Faust Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Oh my.... The BRAT IS coming back! That's Awesome! Also, did I see a 1/16 Isetta in that Revell catalogue? Is that a new kit? I'd never heard of it before! Now, if we can get the '75 Pontiac Sprint or a stock Vega, that'd be awesome!

So, it has been available here in the USA. At 1/16 scale, you can actually SEE it

Phildaupho Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Does anyone know the identity of this car? I cannot make out the description. Looks like it would make a cool street rod !!
Junkman Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 Opel Admiral. It's actually an ICM kit, like the Ford T.

Am I the only one who hates the standard US model kit box where they guarantee the body would warp by cramming it with the sprues in a single plastic bag and stuffing the whole shebang into a box that is barely too small? Glad they made the Cuda AAR. Even better it is released by ROG. That means I might actually be able to get one in my LHS without the ridiculous shipping charges.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Oh I'm sure you're not the only one. But at least the two-piece standard US box doesn't collapse practically under its own weight. And the standard US box hardly corners the market on warps.
Zoom Zoom Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I despise Revell's flat boxes, I recycle a box bottom from a Japanese kit that I already built to use as an insert to pull in/out of the flat box like old Testors kits. Revell's US boxes are much better, and quality of Revell US kits made in China is better than their Euro-based kits. My Panamera kit has a body that's so poorly executed it looks like it was tooled by a drunken apprentice in Bangladesh or Laos

fumi Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Right now I am far more excited by Beemax's announcement. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1318421358299394&id=139351649539710 Really looking forward to that A4.

Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Yup. You 'n Bob, Bernard. We got the right general proportions so I'll deal, but I'm not looking forward to glaze-puttying, priming, block-sanding and rescribing the thing. I've seen Lee knockoffs with better molding.

Oh man you made me squeal with joy, the Audi A4 and literally all those BMWs... I'm so effin' happy they're doing those.
stitchdup Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) Where did you see an audi a4? I see a chevy cruze, 2 bmws and a pug 206. The only mention I saw for the audi in the link, was in the comments. I'm not saying it wasn't there, only I didn't see it in the pics or original post and I want one if its true Edited February 1, 2019 by stitchdup
Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) Wow. Dug the E46 and E92, gonna go deeper to see about that A4... Edit: there we go! Edited February 1, 2019 by Chuck Kourouklis

I buy/build enough models to know what's good and what isn't...haven't seen a modern model body that sloppy in ages. Looks like the Panamera has a nice interior at least; the body will take many hours of sanding and some filling, especially all the excess material above/around the headlights. So much work I'm going to do a what-if widebody from that beast
martinfan5 Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) On the topic of Beemax, a lot of that was announced last year, but what wasnt New Easy Kit System coming I guess Note, that is is for a 2020 release Edited February 1, 2019 by martinfan5
stitchdup Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 thanks for that, I'll need a few of them. I also hope someone does a stock interior conversion for the audi and e46 so i can do some stance builds from them
