crazyjim Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I tried my hand at one of those fancy low rider paint jobs. I have along way to go.
Slimguy Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I thinking looks great Jim. How long did it take you to mask that out and paint it? With drying times it must have been weeks.
crazyjim Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Thank you David, Terry, and Carl. Masking and re-masking took a couple of hours. Next time I know to cut the tape much thinner. I used HOK kandy paint so drying time was miminal.
Jim N Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 That is a really, really great paint job! Outstanding work.
TarheelRick Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Very nice paint. I have also wanted to try one of these, but I have a difficult time envisioning where the tape needs to go in order to get a negative color.
cobraman Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Hey Jim, good looking car. Your paint is very sharp. Good job !
espo Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 I like the way you did the paint fades on the side of the body.
crazyjim Posted March 28, 2019 Author Posted March 28, 2019 Thank you Victor, Jim, Nick, Ricky, Ray, and David.
BeakDoc Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I think you knocked the paint job outta the park. That is supercool!
Sixties Sam Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Wow! That paint job is amazing! It's more than I would ever try to do! Great work, Jim! Sam
Bucket T Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I don't think you have any more to learn. Looks fantastic.
Jantrix Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I really like this. That fade on the side shot is just off the charts.
Cool Hand Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Always enjoy seeing people experiment with tape and paint, colours chosen work well together.
mr moto Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Holy Moley! That's paintin' it! You say you have a long way to go but I think you did a great job. Nice work.
