Jim B Posted April 2, 2019 Author Posted April 2, 2019 Well, I don't know about outstanding, but thank you for the compliment. It does build up nicely right out of the box. I enjoyed this build, and I would build this kit again; but I think I would try to back date it to 1916.

BIGTRUCK Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Looks great, I’m building one now as a tractor trailer,. Good job on yours.
Jim B Posted April 2, 2019 Author Posted April 2, 2019 Thanks, guys. I appreciate the compliments. Jim, you won't be disappointed. The kit goes together well. Ken, what are you using for the fifth-wheel?

Chariots of Fire Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 Nice work, Jim. Color is just right for this old rig!
Jim B Posted April 3, 2019 Author Posted April 3, 2019 (edited) Thanks, Charlie. Ken, the fifth wheel might be simple, but that lift mechanism sure isn't! As I was building mine, I was wondering what the load capacity was. Three tons? Five, maybe? Don't know. I have seen photos of Mack AC trucks with Renault FT17 tanks in the back, and those are 7.2 tons; but I don't know if those Army versions had heavier suspensions or not. Edited April 3, 2019 by Jim B
