Well, I don't know about outstanding, but thank you for the compliment.  It does build up nicely right out of the box.  I enjoyed this build, and I would build this kit again; but I think I would try to back date it to 1916.

Jim the 5th wheel is pretty simple on these.

Ken, the fifth wheel might be simple, but that lift mechanism sure isn't!  As I was building mine, I was wondering what the load capacity was.  Three tons?  Five, maybe?  Don't know.  I have seen photos of Mack AC trucks with Renault FT17 tanks in the back, and those are 7.2 tons; but I don't know if those Army versions had heavier suspensions or not.
