Is there a solution on the horizon or do I need to look into a hosting site?  After the Photobucket debacle I'm not eager to go that route again.

Ummmmm ....

Drag & drop upload from my desktop still works for me.  My car mechanic says one of the most maddening words in the diagnostic business is "intermittent."

Was posting pics to another member two days ago. Now I can’t post anything. Getting that same 200 message. This happens often, but if I modify the pic by making it a bit smaller, it usually works but not no more.

I find it a little strange that after 3 days there hasn't been an administrator or moderator that has chimed in on this. (other than dave saying he would take a look at it) Just wondering......

I was thinking the same thing. Just tried to post pics again, and the same thing. I even resized them smaller.

It wasn't supposed to cause any problems, but it looks like one of the changes for the next forum software version broke something. I'll back that out tomorrow morning, which should get us back to functional.

Thanks for being patient.

Thanks for the update.  Its not as spectacular of a failure as when Flickr did their "awesomeness" update, that was legendary.

Thanks Dave.

Not sure if this could be a related problem, but, I’ll get a notification today from something that was already read or posted the day before. This just started to happen recently.

Not a real problem, I can live with it. Just thought I’d mention it.

When I try to upload a picture from my computer, I get this message in a rectangular box near the top of the screen.  "There was a problem processing the uploaded file. -200"  It happens for every picture I try to upload.  I had to go back to using third party hosting for my pictures.  Is there an issue with the forum or something on my computer?

I don’t know, but I’ll take a look at this. We just made some server changes. Can you send me screen shot(s) of the message?

I had the same problem. I was using my phone to take the pictures and they were full size. I made the file smaller (2.8 MB to 114 KB)with my phone and then they uploaded fine. I thought that maybe a limit had been set on file size.

This was/is a big part in my going to weblinks for pix. Before going to flickr and others, if you value privacy and consider your pix your property then take time to read the fine print. You may change your mind.

I found deviantart.com to work well. Its free, you can watermark, edit anytime, lock to prevent downloading, etc. You call the ball.  Yeah, there's the usual junk to wade through the first time but once set up and bookmarked, troublefree and fast.  Jpgs, pdf's, and short videos are no problem.

Just my opinion.

I am getting the error message as mentioned, and I am only uploading ONE photo.... There was a problem processing the uploaded file. -200

I just downloaded a pic of a car from the web. It posted with no problems. Then I tried to add MY pics of that build, and still an error. So it seems it’s only certain pics that won’t post.

I just tried resizing a couple of images, it let me upload one but not the other, even though they were the same size.  Weird.

I've found that most forums have a file max size that will upload. I take photos with my iPhone on max res, then use Photoshop to reduce the image to 760 max pixels. This always seems to work for me.
