Brudda Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Finally finished!!! Joe Leonard Indy turbine car. MPC kit of 1968. Tough build. Dog of a kit but it came out ok. Thank you indycals for the decals and resin tires. And thank you guys for the support!
RancheroSteve Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Excellent! That's not an easy kit to build that well.
Spex84 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Love the color combo and those tasty Indycals tires! The kitbashed/scratchbuilt turbine is darn cool too. It may may have been a sow's ear but you turned it into a silk purse. Well done! And thanks for the WIP photos, it was a lot of fun to follow along.
Rich Chernosky Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Well worth the effort Bruce, it turned out great. Thanks for the WIP...it will help in my build.
TonyK Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Looks great! I built the Art Pollard version and have Fred Cady decals to do the others but as you pointed out it's a tough build. Yours looks so good with the added details.
Peter Lombardo Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Very well done on a kit that is difficult and of such an important car in racing history. Great job.
Brudda Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Thank you ChrisR. Thank you Deuces. Thank you Too Old. Thank you Rich. Thank you Tony K. and Thank you Peter.

Lizard Racing Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 You are right, it is a challenging kit to build. Certainly looks better than mine! The tires really set it off.
Justin Porter Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 That looks truly fantastic. Love seeing all the little added details that bring the tough kit to life.
