Started the restoration April 25, 2019, 6 months later here it is...here are the build pictures..

.Here it is today..CJ428 wired & plumbed, stock wheels, questions & comments welcome....

Most I've seen in person were a grabber color.  I cannot tell if this is the pale blue or grey.  It's a nice build nonetheless.  It's a shame MPC did not tool up a nice 429 CJ or SCJ but I suspect the race car had a Boss 429 which was the whole point of putting them in the 69 and 70 Mustangs.  The Boss and the 429 CJ and SCJ had such a short life due to the ending of the 60's muscle car wars.

Rex, the color is a pastel blue used by Ford in the early 70's, my lighting isn't the greatest....

I was not sure.  I've seen at least one real Boss 429 that color.  It probably wasn't a big seller.
