Lorne Posted September 23, 2020 Author Posted September 23, 2020 Small update - will hard plumb the brake lines on the rear axle. Future Attraction brake callipers, Model Car Garage rotors and RB Motion nut/bolt
Mattilacken Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Incredible build! Remember seeing your engine earilier and blown away by it! This looks epic! Those sub assemblys are nice enough to be on display without the truck!
AmericanMuscleFan Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 I am glad to see you progressing on this beautiful little truck Lorne! Any update is a move in the right direction. Those components are simply awesome! ?
Lorne Posted October 2, 2020 Author Posted October 2, 2020 Rear axle complete! Had to do the 4 link frame over again, the upper shock mounts went south after test fitting again,.... oh well
OldNYJim Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Really gorgeous work!! That axle looks incredible!
jamesG Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Very nice so far, well, except for the wheel and tire combo, sorry, but low pro tires on classic vehicles ( and most others too) looks terrible to me. But hey, each to their own.
Lorne Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Your right to each there own. I like the idea that there is a wide variety and combinations to choose from to create "your" own vision/version of a dream ride! the possibilities are endless!!
Steve H Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 Hi Lorne, not sure how I missed this thread for this long. WOW!! This is my kind of truck, what a beauty. Absolutely killer stance. It sure is inspiring to watch builders like yourself, Tim H, Francis L, Claude T, and others creates these incredible masterpieces. Looking forward to seeing the body in paint. Cheers, Steve
Lorne Posted October 22, 2020 Author Posted October 22, 2020 Thanks Steve!! 1st for your interest in the truck!! And then to put me on the same work bench as Tim, Francis and Claude,...thats motivation!!
Codi Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Thank you Lorne for the sentiment you've shared. I'm getting anxious to see all these beautiful sub-assemblies on the truck. Granted I'm sure not as much as you are, but it's certainly shaping up to be a gorgeous build. cheers, tim
JaysCustoms Posted December 31, 2020 Posted December 31, 2020 Very nice work and attention to detail on the suspension!! I'm starting a build on a '55 Cameo Fleetside and your build has given me some great ideas, thanks for sharing. Where did you get the back half frame though or is that something scratch-built?
Lorne Posted December 31, 2020 Author Posted December 31, 2020 The frame is scratch built for the 4 link. A ton of test fitting!! Good Luck and thanks for your interest!!
misterNNL Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 I just found this thread and am super impressed with every single photo and detail shown.this is going to be fun to watch evolve.
Lorne Posted January 3, 2021 Author Posted January 3, 2021 Thanks misterNNL! tough to get to the bench for sometime now, but will happen once the dust settles thanks for your interest!!
TransAmMike Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 Super impressive work Lorne. Just looked at this for the first time as I seldom look at trucks. Beautiful and so realistic.?
landman Posted January 3, 2021 Posted January 3, 2021 I think I may just throw my stuff away and watch here instead. Fabulous work.
Lorne Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 Hey landman, don't throw anything away! This is a great hobby!! Mated the Muncie to the big block awhile back. Sure glad the internet has reference pics! Thanks for following along!
AmericanMuscleFan Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 You did a great job with the 4 speed Muncie and shifter hardware Lorne! It's hard not to like a 3-pedal truck!!! ?
butter Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Hey Lorne. Beautiful work with the RD Unique front end. The plumbing you added to the rack appears to be spot on. I am digging one of those out of my aftermarket stash to throw under my 56 F100. Like you, I wish I had a few more, I only have 2 that have not been used. As everyone else has already said, all of your work is fantastic!
Lorne Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Hey butter Yes, I would really like to get a few more of the RD Unique front ends!! Would also like to see 3D printing of that same front clip!! I think "any" part will be available one day (3D printing). Or,.... you could have the talent like Francis or Tim! Just machine your own!! WOW! I still shake my head on their stuff?!!

Speaking of talent, you are pretty well equipped Lorne and you don't have to envy anyone, everything I have seen of your models is simply stunning, with obvious attention to detail and professional results! A feast for the eyes!!! ?
Bullybeef Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Just found this thread, that bb Chevy is pure eye candy! cant wait to see that beast mounted up to a frame! cheers
