larman
That's cool! Like the Northstar motor! Those things were pretty quick in heavy Cadillacs, I would think they would run really well in a Fiero!
Maindrian Pace
Very nice job, and quite the little hot rod there too.

Claude Thibodeau
Hi! Good idea! I had one of those Fieros when the car came out. Fun car, but the anemic "iron duke" 4 cyl. was the weak link. Your swap gets rid of the problem! CT
LouO
Nice build! If only in 1:1 scale, that would be one little quick ride! Great idea!
Dragonhawk1066
Cool looking Fiero!
Phildaupho
Very effective conversion, I believe the engines in the Series 1 were badged as Oldsmobiles. although technically the same as the Cadillac engines.
espo
Great looking build. I like the NorthStar idea, I remember a few 1:1's done in this manor years ago. The Green color really catches your eye and the finish looks great. The Wheel selection look perfect on this.
cobraman
Very cool model. I had a 88 Formula but no V8 of coarse just the V6.

Yep. 300+ hp Aurora V8s.
PHPaul
Very nicely done! I suspect a 1:1 version of that would be more than a little squirrelly with that much weight right over the rear wheels.
Vincent631
It came out to be a really good looking green, Pontiac! What scale is that? The trim must have taken time. Also, the wheel swap and V8 makes 80s Fiero a high performance little rocket! Maybe do the other one stock original.

The Northstar motor was initially developed by Oldsmobile but originated in the '92 Cadillacs. The 4.6 liter version was the most widely used version in all GM cars until 2011, but only the smaller 4.0 liter version (which was used in the 99-02 Olds Aurora and the Shelby Series 1) was the only one ever kitted. The Series one version of the motor is not only supercharged, but is also in a RWD configuration that required trimming of the trans+ molded drive line to replace it with the Fieros separate transmission. 21 hours ago, Vincent631 said: It came out to be a really good looking green, Pontiac! Vinny, it's this kit: 1/24th Scale, reissued in 1994 and 2004. Most parts went together well, but the rear bumper is a challenge since it has to go on after the chassis is in, otherwise it's near impossible to get the frame in with it on. Trim can be a nightmare if one were to use pens or brush. It was relatively easy to do using rounded toothpicks. Got two of these dirt cheap that time I was at Emerald City. The other one I'm keeping sealed but my dad build one of these box stock back in the day and still has it. Maybe i'll get of that one on here sometime. Koellefornia Kid
Freaky but plausible! A 1:1 would be a fun ride!
