Agree with everyone else, this is one beautiful build.  Looks like it should be parked at Big Ed's Burgers.  A quick question, where exactly did you cut the '48 and the '41 to make the match?

Thanx! I cut right where the rear of the fenders meets the body like a full scale would be done. I had to also narrow the hood slightly to match the cowl. I cut down the middle 3/4 of the length and glued it back together. It's really simple.

Wow, I love what you did here, not just because it is a beautiful model with a unique character like everyone else has said, but also because I have already severed the front off a woodie to tackle the same conversion.  In contrast to yours, mine will be a taildragger custom but your execution and your tips will be a great help when I start mine.  Thanks for that!

Thanx! I'm wanting to do a convertible as a tail dragger sometime soon with a chopped windshield and Carson top. I had both kits bought. But, I used the convertible for my '48 F-1 conversion. So, I gotta get another convertible kit.

You did a beautiful job on this! The '41 is my favorite of this era of Fords. Your body work is seamless. Great job detailing under the hood too.

I also narrowed the front track 4 mms to tuck the tires in a little better. Roger...I've thought about doing just such a conversion (mine was to have been with the convertible body).  Yours came out great; and I really like how you got rid of the "going uphill" look of the front end of the AMT/Ertl '41 kit.  Great color choice, too!   TIM

Thanx Tim! For me, the body work was the easy part. It was narrowing the front track 4 mms that was a pain. The axle and every related part had to be narrowed. Plus, I glued the X member together, cut it loose from the frame, drilled the holes so they were round and glued it back to the frame. I did more work on the chassis than I did on the body!
