Funkychiken Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 There's a WIP in this Forum if you're interested. I did add a few extra details to the engine bay, and think it makes a huge difference the colour did not come out as intended, these candy paints will deepen significantly with more layers, and if you are not such an expert at even coverage, it can get way too dark! the engine bay shows the dark orange I was after, it turned out Bronzy-Brown. Actually the colour I would look for for a Ford Galaxie 500... anyway, it's finished enough for me, despite the imperfections, but it looks good on the shelf!
Spottedlaurel Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 I enjoyed reading your WIP thread, the end result looks really good. I saw you had quite a bit of work to do on the rear light panel, were there any other issues? I have one on the shelf to do someday. Saw a really smart previous-gen RX7 on the road yesterday, it got me thinking about them.....
espo Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 I like the color and the paint finish. This may not be exactly what you were looking for but it sure looks good. The extra effort in the engine room shows.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted June 16, 2020 Posted June 16, 2020 The color may not have been what you were after, but I like it! The whole car looks great, very well done!
Peter Lombardo Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Looks good to me, nice job. The color looks great.
bogger44 Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 I think the color fits the car very well, and a great smooth finish to it as well. Very well built! ?
beeRS Posted June 18, 2020 Posted June 18, 2020 Wow. That is simply stunning. The colour really suits the curvy shape. Well done.
