NitroMarty Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 (edited) My attempt to drag Revell's horrible chopped '57 Ranchero into the 21st century.... Edited July 25, 2020 by NitroMarty
Claude Thibodeau Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Hi Marty! Definitely more contemporary, bravo! CT
Modlbldr Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Wow! Your build looks good. I never thought of using an early Corvette windshield frame. I have the remains of an old built-up that my Uncle built in the 70's that is missing most of the windshield frame. Now I know what to do with it. Later-

Painted Black Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Very sharp build, what is the paint used on the top half, looks like granite.
Koellefornia Kid Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Super nice conversion of this kit! Really like the paint scheme!
espo Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Great looking build. I like how you turned it into a roadster. The chopped top version that Revell came up with was just unrealistic looking and the reason I never bought one. I should have and did something like this.
doorsovdoon Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 You knocked this out of the park, nice one! Revell should use this as the box art!
SCRWDRVR Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 I may be using that idea too, I have an old Ranchero kit like that and it’s a build up. The glass and roof are rough that could definitely save that kit.... looks great and great idea.....
Oldcarfan27 Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Definitely improved a lemon! The chopped roof just completely ruined that kit. And they're never going to fix it, so any way to eliminate that roof is welcomed!
mr moto Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 That's the best treatment of that kit that I've ever seen. Great job!
