HomerS Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Rail cars (hauling cars) too tall for the bridge https://www.yahoo.com/autos/watch-freight-train-loaded-cars-151400617.html
slusher Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 That’s not good!! That will cost some big bucks.....
espo Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Obviously someone is going to be looking for work outside the transportation industry. Have to wonder how and where this overpass came from and how it got set this low.
Dave Ambrose Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Management is not going to be happy about this, that's for sure.
Rodent Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Pretty obvious that dispatch put them on the wrong track somehow.

Classicgas Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 For sale, one trainload slightly dented cars....... great price!
Xingu Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Well, even if the engineer realized the overpass was low, it isn't like he can just stop the train on the spot. I doubt all the blame falls on the engineer, even though he may end up being the scapegoat.
Ctmodeler Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Yeah these guys follow routes given by management . Not like he's like oh im gonna go this way to here or there . They tell him where to go and how to get there and he's paid to drive the train from here to there. He won't even be written up for that. Not his fault
Pete J. Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Reminds me a a story by Jeff Foxworthy. - Truck driver had a similar accident with a truck and an over pass. The truck driver is standing on the side of the road looking it over and sees the Highway patrol cop come walking up. Cop says " Got a little bit stuck there did ya?" Truck driver comes back with "No, I was just delivering this overpass and ran out of gas." HERES YOUR SIGN!?
