HI!

In these trying times, why not a little fun with a pile of leftovers?

Mash-up a trash-bin Revell 37 Ford panel cab, a Vette Agin central frame section, a Lindberg Dodge Caravan seat, two AMT 53 Stude blown engines, a 66 Nova dash, a 32 shell & headlights and unknown rolling stock (all modified). Scratchbuilt front & rear frame sections, suspensions, floor, tunnel, firewall, shifter, windshield, interior panels, 4 disc brakes, steering rack, hatch & tailgate, poles and custom decals. Throw in scratchbuilt metal headers, throttle cables, injector linkages, rear bumper & taillights. HOK Sunset gold base + Metalflake's copper candy + Testor's Wet Look clear & Alclad and Molotow chrome. Wired & hosed. Who said crazy show cars were a thing of the past? 60's live!

Hours of fun with styrene!

Love the coil spring perch on the front!
Cheers Misha

Hi Misha, thanks!

This kind of centrally located coil was used on many show cars in the 60s. Mind you, most only rolled from the transporter to the arena, so...

Nicely done. Cool concept. Its always fun to turn a pile of parts into something. An impressive beast.

Thank you Bob!

My wife also calls it "the Beast". Wonder why?

This is what happens when you have a boundless imagination and a big back full of unused parts... but you still have to be talented and you are well equipped in this area my friend!

With his brand new Green Plan, our Minister of the Environment will probably not be as impressed as me, but hey, the price of gasoline is going down so why not take advantage of it!

This beast has 2 HEMI, it can only please me and I love the color by the way, can I take an appointment for the paint job of my current project?

Another hit!!! ?

Hi Francis!

Thanks for the comments. With twin Hemi, I should have known it would end up on your radar, sooner or later!

As for painting, having seen the world class finishes you throw on your creations, I have no doubt you'll be up to the challenge on your Dodge PU. But if you ever are wasted when you come to this step, I'll be happy to chip in.

Hi Claude,

Francis  is definitely right. Your paint job is fantastic. Especially the big surface of the roof is shiningly spotless. Way above my abilities. I's always a joy to see what a bag of styrene and lots of imagination can create. Take care, Juergen

Hi Juergen!

Thanks for the comnments.

To your point about the paint, still, it's simply Testor"s Wet Look clear (spray can), not sanded but vigourously hand-rubbed with Farecla No, 6 compound.

I am saddened that Testor's pulled out this product. To me, it was most effective, mostly due to its perfect viscosity. Tamya's TS 13 is fine, but lays out much thinner, and evaporates over many more days. You are often faced with surprising "gloss reduction" a few weeks later. Therefore, you have to wait for final polishing, at least in my experience. I tried to stack-up on Wet Look as much as I could, but it is hard to come by nowadays. If you can get some, do it!

Will Revell's new spray clear bring good news? I'm still waiting for my first can soon. We'll see...

A terrificly well built and very amusing build. Super eye catching. I love it.

Hi Rob!

That's exactly what I was shooting for: have FUN building something that defies any logic. The styrene gods allowed it, I guess?

My personal thanks for creating something dedicated to an underserved segment of our society:-). Dare I say this drips with CT style and craftsmanship. Another over the top "mash up" from your workbench!

Hi Sir!

Now I know why I fell odd while building it! LOL. Now it makes sense. Thank you!

This is so cool! Everything about it, but I really like the poles hanging out the back. Now you just need to add Miss Kim and Miss Tasha!

OMG !! Claude, you just put a huge smile on my face. Your builds are always clean, well detailed, well engineered.... all that and more. This one’s a beauty and a beast! Amazing work (fun) sir. So we have a “pole service”, and a Viagra delivery truck, hmmmm what’s next?! Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve!

I know Flintstone Studio has a couple of ladies I can think of... But I'm afraid my wife, daughters and grand-daughters would not approve...
