Tomorrow is the last day of school and I will not see a bus until sometime in August.  Hopefully, by then, face masks will also be a thing of the past.

I think you just got this topic locked!... lol? ....It’s a bit of a joke, sorry couldn’t resist.

I have seen Josh Blue in longer performances before and he is great. One of the best stories he has is about his wife and meeting her parents. I don't know if he's really married but the story is just to funny. One thing I like about this guy is life has dealt him a bad hand but he isn't going to let that stop him and I admire that about him. Like all good comedians he talks about things that we all can relate to and see the humor in the situation. If you ever get a chance to see his act you should do it.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. Now that I think about it, I think maybe I've seen him before. Was he on Last Comic Standing, maybe?

ETA: Just checked and he in fact won Last Comic Standing in 2006. Good for him!

Back in, I think, the '80s there was a girl comedian with CP named Geri Jewell. She eventually got a recurring role on HBO's Deadwood. My favorite joke of hers was, "When people meet me, sometimes they say 'What the hell's wrong with you?'  And I say, 'I've got cerebral palsy, whatta you got?' And nine times out of ten, they've got something!" :lol::lol:

That was the first time I got to see him on stage was during Last Comic Standing. I liked that series and they had some good up and comers on there.

I don't remember him so much but there were some really talented Comics. The MC was a little over the top and seemed to want to make it all about him but some of that is expected I guess, I think they call that "self promotion" in stead of making it about the focus of the show. Anyway I wish something like Last Comic Standing could be done in the future.

The first thing I would do in that position would be to recommend the shuttering of Twitter.

Going by the subject line of this thread, I figured this would be a good place for a couple of funny memes from my GF (from Facebook I'm sure).

Many years ago I lived in an are near Gilroy Ca. Gilroy bills its self as the garlic capitol of the world, and if you should be passing thru the area on Hwy 101 during harvest you would agree. So one year attending their Garlic Carnival they were introducing a new flavored Ice Cream, guess the flavor ?

You guessed it. No I have no idea what it tasted like. The day was over 100 degrees and I had just enough adult beverage but could still couldn't bring myself to try it and I love ice cream. Just to gross for even me.

Something to smile about.

The Rescue Amazon Parrot (yes there are Bird Rescues, just like there are for dogs), that my wife in mid-May, continues to get better acclimated to the house and our routines.

Poor Guy is at least 30 years old, and has a crippled left leg and wing. So, he has troubles getting around his cage, and he cannot fly. The Poxie Rescue folks failed to mention this small detail. So, we paid $500.00 to the Rescue, had to drive 400 miles round trip to get the bird, and only find out he is both, far older and not as healthy as they told us. I was not happy about this, but he is a good (if grouchy) bird! He likes treats (potato chips and fried chicken) and prefers to nap when I sit with him in my recliner. There is no good to be had from talking to the Rescue Group, as they (like almost all animal rescue groups in California), are simply swamped with animals being turned in, or worse, just dumped by the door. So, we'll try to give the old boy a good home, and keep him safe and comfortable.

Named him Onslow, after a character in a British Comedy from the 1990's called "Keeping up Appearances".

I loved the Onslow actor. That and "Waiting for God" were some of the funniest. The only better one was Jeff in the " Coupling " series. Show the bird some love and care and he'll come around.

Sounds like a good ole guy!  It’s nice you can give him a home

My daughter and I were traveling to an event at Fremont Peak State Park, which is south of Gilroy. Traffic suddenly slows to a crawl. Get down a bit and discover why. A northbound truck hit the center divider and dumped an entire produce bin of garlic into the southbound lanes. It was pretty well mushed up when we got there and the odor was very strong. My FIAT seemed happier about it than I was, and thankfully they routed us onto the shoulder.

Just wanted to let you know that I saw on TV last night that Jeff Blue is going to be on America's Got Talent next week. I don't watch the show myself but it comes on just before the 10 O'clock News on the channel I watch and heard them mention that he will be one of the acts for next week and remembered that you were also a fan.
