Dan Hay Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 (edited) I'm a hot rod builder through and through, but sometimes I have to 'cleanse the palette" so to speak and do a box-stock build. So here it is, a Revell black widow kit with decals from Mike's decals. All Lacquer Tamiya paint with Testors Extreme Clear. Polished it with 3M Perfect-it 3-stage polish. I got in a hurry with the clear, so the decals wrinkled a bit, but it still looks OK. Edited June 3, 2021 by Dan Hay 1
MarkJ Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 Awesome build, Dan. Everything about this model looks great. I appreciate that you kept the kit wheels and tires. When people use the 1/24 scale 57through 59 ppp wheels and tires, the model ends up looking just not quite right when compared to reference pictures of the real cars. Has that monster truck look about it. 1

TooOld Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Excellent job Dan !! A bunch of guys always complain about the inaccuracies of this kit but it sure does build up nice as you have proven with your great model . 1
alan barton Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 It sure is a nice Black Widow but the engine bay is beyond nice! That borders on photo-realism! To think it is all done with is amazing. Congratulations on a beautiful build. Cheers Alan 1
Zippi Posted July 9, 2021 Posted July 9, 2021 The Black Widow looks really sharp Dan. Love the 55's. 1
