You can get the Motor Trend app through Amazon Prime and watch it that way

And so much boo hoo about cutting up kits. Get over it, they are not yours, so don't worry about it.

Will we ever get to see this on the regular Motor Trend channel that we already pay for?

Last night(Aug 28) I watched it on regular MT .Where we live we half to stream TV. MT is on Hulu

So, if he hacks up kits and rushes through them, he's doing a disservice to the hobby? If he takes his time and builds a trophy winner with exact details, he will have some lose interest because they can't wait for all four episodes to see the finished product?

I view this show as entertainment, nothing more. Steve has a ton of knowledge and that is the part of the show that I enjoy. I've been hacking bodies and slathering paint since the early 70's, he and I are about the same age and from the looks of it, at the same skill level!

I think it's great that he was able to convince the people at MT to let him do these shows. My guess is that it was super low budget and he barely made any money on the deal. My wife thought it was cool that our hobby got a few minutes on TV as she knows how hard we work on our builds and the time and money invested in it.

Last nights show was great. Steve re-living his youth with a tribute build. His show is working, it's getting me all excited about building kits again.

Any attention is better than none!!!!

Steve is building like 80% of model builders do maybe minus stealing parts from high dollar kits!!!!

The fact he calls some 'folk art' is valid way of thinking about his style.

I like the show, but I think he should use a knife or sprue cutter to remove parts from the trees, instead of twisting and ripping them off.

I noticed that too. LOL!!

I figured there'd be some chat about this show, after I saw a couple episodes recently. I appreciate how nice you folks are being. It's clear that from a quality standpoint he's not on the level of most of us. But it's also clear he doesn't want to be. The fact that he twists off the parts and brush paints most of the model, makes that clear enough. But he's very passionate about model building. He likes the quick build, a few days at the most. I have been watching this fella on Barret Jackson for years and he has forgotten more about cars than most of us will ever know. He has mentioned model kits on BJ many, many times. I've heard that he does a LOT of hotel room building, so the unpainted folk art photos, I think stem from that.

Steve, if you're lurking, keep doing what you do. Kits are meant to be built and to no ones satisfaction but our own.

Just watched these, kind of cringey when he is sloppy with the super glue and when he pulled parts from the Johan Roadrunner to build a mundane turd version of the Little Red Wagon, but he is entertaining and I liked the awb Fairmont and some of the info about the real cars he adds. As mentioned elsewhere, it is a little like a model version of "Roadkill". Here is my take on the Silver Bullet from back around 2003, or so.....

I said it before, anything with Steve Magnante is ok with me.I love listening to this guy.To me,IMO,he’s sort of a car genius.Wether it’s at BarrettJackson, his junk yard show, not to mention helping out the guys from Road kill, and now he has a show building models. It’s great watching and listening to him.And he’s a huge Mopar guy,how cool is that.???
