Bullybeef Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Hi guys n gals, it’s been some time since I posted, 2 moves and a career change! Well I finally got time to set up the ole hobby desk and sorted through some of my in progress builds and some of my planned builds. Decided to put all the in progress builds in a holding pattern and start over. Before I left off I had been scrounging and trading and bartering for Revels 32 Ford kits in all the assorted flavours that were available. Between new and partials and some rebuilders I have amassed a pretty good stash, enough in fact to start a very challenging builds! Yes I’m talking about the 15 flavours!! I have 4 of the 15 already complete. 3 window, 5 window, roadster and closed cab pickup. so that leaves cabriolet, sport coupe, 2 door sedan, 4 door sedan, convertible sedan, sedan delivery, Victoria, phaeton, roadster pickup, panel delivery and station wagon! for the sake of rules I’ll be doing all the car based models in this section of the forum, while the light commercial models will be in that forum. Wish me luck as this will be a huge undertaking. And to appease @tim boyd They will all be powered by as many Ford engines as I can. I will endeavour to make as many as possible to be hot rods! so I’ll start with some pictures to get your attention 2
Oldmopars Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Well, insanity is cheaper than a drug addiction. I say go for it. Looks like you are off to a great start. Can’t wait to see how this crazy idea pans out. 1

mr moto Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I'm thinking that mini '32 is actually an Austin Bantam. Yes, no? 1

Paul Payne Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Be sure to include a few flatheads in your builds- also, some like the 3 window coupe, tudor, and four door sedans had pretty deluxe upholstery- nothing like a luxurious interior for comfortable cruzin'! BTW- its not madness, it's normal modeling ambition! It's only madness if you set a deadline!
Mr. Metallic Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 I'm a 32 fanatic, so you have my attention Looks like you're well on your way to solving a couple of the missing body styles, here's a couple suggestions Both the b400 and "station wagon" woody are available inexpensively from Jimmy Flintstone. The woody portion of the woody is quite a bit different from the 29 body you're starting with. The cabriolet used to be available from Replicas and Miniatures, but is sadly discontinued. mastered by Lyle Willits its a very nice piece. maybe post in the wanted section you are looking for one?

I’m planning on making the station wagon as best I can with what I have available, as for the sport coupe I think the uptop will be the hardest challenge. the cabriolet will be fairly easy to pull off Edited September 30, 2021 by Bullybeef 1

If that's the route you choose let me help you out a bit. When i created my sport coupe, I removed the roof portion from a 5 window body, and then modified a roof from a Monogram 30 ford cabriolet to fit. Replicas and Miniatures offered it for awhile, and I managed to build this out of it... 1

Thank you Craig, I think my biggest hurdle will me maintaining the fabric look on the tops, I appreciate the tips. that being said I think the most challenging build will be the B400, not a lot of good resource pics on the ole Interwebs, is it based off the sedan or the Victoria?
m3fan Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 I applaud you Bil for this undertaking! Are local club did this for the Deuce Days back in 2019 and we as a group built all the variations of the venerable 32.

It going to lie, I believe I found one of your posts and used it as an inspiration to start this undertaking!
Bullybeef Posted October 1, 2021 Author Posted October 1, 2021 So the second hardest part is to make all these rebuilder frames usable, my math states I need 11
Phildaupho Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Hey Bill - You should plan a trip to Victoria next summer with your models for Deuce Days and Deuce Days in Scale - July 17 and the preceding three days. 1
