This is what many would call a true survivor.  With the two piece tires, I believe it is an original issue. It is also a community build. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it took a forum to build a car.  I traded for it from Modlbldr. It was in pieces...and missing pieces.  Thanks to him, thatz4u  TruckerAl, and ewetwo for donating the needed parts.

The ob layed down a gold basecoat followed by transparent red to create a true candy apple red. All I did was lightly polish it after thoroughly cleaning all the parts.  I added wash to the grill,  the engine came from the parts box.

Sam,

That turned out great! It gives me hope for the blue 29 (if I remember it correctly) I have from the same OB. Now if I can just find all of the parts.

Like I said, makes me regret trading it to you!! Lol. Great job.

Nicely done.  That candy apple red pops against the black.  Love the fat fender cars from the 30's.

I like the smooth look of the way youi did the body and paint.  I always fought the fit with the grill/hood/and firewall on this kit so the way you did the grill and hood combined looks like a good way around that. Great looking stance and the chrome wheels look good here. The paint looks great.
