carbuilder1950 Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 This was so much fun building this. I wanted to use the same colors in a different way, and give it a more modern look, and show how much fun I had. The front and rear fenders were raised up and modified for those huge tires and wheels, and the side steps were raise up quite a ways too, and I made a new place to locate the rear axle. Wheel/tire set came from a diecast hot rod - so much fun!!! Hope ya like 'er.
Zippi Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 That is just so kewl Dave. The red looks great and love those big old wheels & tires. Nice job.
cobraman Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 David, what were you drinking ? That is way cool. I really like it ! 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Hi David! Great concept, but... I'm really fond of the copper C400 sedan in the background. Can we see more of that on a previous thread? Just curious... CT 1

Lots of modifications to get the look I wanted. I'll make that the next build I share. She's one of my favorites. That's one I built on the side, just for my own enjoyment, so I have no construction pics. I have done that on several builds. Some have never ever been seen before, or in any contests. Been building a long time so I have about 150 finished builds, all in cases. Dave Edited October 21, 2021 by carbuilder1950

The C400 is a beauty in its own right, and yours seems to pay justice to the design. Regards, CT 1
Intmd8r Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Cool interpretation. Where did you source those wheels? 1

espo Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Looks great. I like how you modernized to look, much more interesting now than the way the original looked. 1
