happy grumpy Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Not 100% accurate , I took the Revell kit that had the top already chopped, I did not want to mess with the hood so I left the rounded corners, I added the scoop. I swap the front bumper with the one from the woody. The hub caps are turned aluminum. (being a machinist helped ) . I wish I had known back then about fireball modelworks. Joseph makes excellent BF Goodrich radials. I settled with what I had in the spare box. The goal was not to have an exact replica but close enough to be recognized by movie buffs. it's close enough for me. My heart sank when they destroyed it but I heard they kept the hero car. I don't know the full story about the ownership of the car, but Stallone reportedly was able to get it back some years after. thanks for looking. 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Looks like the car from the movie "Cobra" Actually, it looks BETTER than the car from the movie! Clean build.
Zippi Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Bad looking 50 Mercury and the move "Cobra" was pretty bad as well. Pretty kewl looking hub caps. Nicely done Mario.
