Thank you Alan and thanks for the pics and bit of information.  I see the rack of K&S tubing everytime I go to the hobby shop.  HL also has a small amount. I'll take a look next time I'm there.

Hi Bob, NO FOIL !! yay! Good start so far, I need to get some of the paint you used on the wheels. Not sure if the tubing down south of the border shows metric size too, but if it does, 1mm is approximately 1”. So for a 4” exhaust pipe, 4mm tubing as an example. I’ll be watching…

Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve.  I've got some yard work tomorrow to catch up on but if I get done early I'll make a run to the hobby shop and take the header with me and match it up.

I tried a new color on the seat today.  Not sure if I like it or not.  Maybe after I get the seat-belts painted it will look better.

I decided to go with aluminum heads and paint the valve covers blue.  I cut the end of the headers off and I'll take that with me to the hobby shop to get the right size K&S tubing to slip over the end for a much better look as the stock two piece tubes look pretty bad.  Thank's goes out to Alan Barton for the suggestion and pics.

Note to self.  Next time I'm at HL buy a proper saw.

Get a tubing cutter Bob, I think K&S makes them and it's at HL.

Yeah or maybe a good sharp #11 blade since the tubing is so small.

You can get a small tubing cutter from Wal Mart, Advance Auto, AutoZone, Harbor Freight, Hobby Lobby, etc. etc. Not hard to find.

Believe me Buddy, you will want the cutter. Just cleaner and straight cuts.

I'll check them out next time I'm out.  Yard work and fall check on the heating & air tomorrow.

Bob, here is HPI Guy's Build video. In the first part he shows the parts trees. I think I remember seeing the distributor and hoses. You might see if it shows them.

HPI Guy has built all 4 fits in the series. (34 Ford, 36 Chevy, 77 Pinto, 76 Vega) All his videos of them are worth watching.

I enjoy watching his videos builds. He has some neat ideas..

He does have some great ideas.  Any time I want to get info on a kit he seems to have built it.

Thanks to Alan for the tip on going with black instead of chrome on the dust cap and lugs.  It's not a flat black but came out pretty good.

Looking good Bob. I was in HL the other day and actually picked up this kit looking at it, then put it back and bought the AMT 55 Chevy Bel Air Sedan. Probably will get it next time. After getting the 55 I got to thinking about all that trim work on it and have about decided to not even fool with it. May take it back for exchange.

I know what you mean man.  I'm getting selective on my kits now.  Specially since the company has a different supplier and they know this new stuff is no good.

Well....with everything going on today I did manage to make it to the hobby shop for some 7/32" brass tubing for the header extensions and I got the distributor wired and painted.

Looking good Bob.  I do that same thing on my driveshafts once in awhile.

Thanks Ray.  And here I thought I was on easy street with no bmf to put on this build.
