Another great model from the House of Claude.  Love it !

Thank you Ray!

My wife thinks that there is a smidge too much stuff piling up in the "House of Claude". Well...

Right backatcha CT!  It was no surprise to see Streetza Pizza prominently featured in that same issue.  I just love that build!  Makes me hungry every time I see it!

Hi Tim!

Well, the next slice is on me!

Hi Claude!! Awesome stuff as always sir. Another tasty mash up from the house of Claude. If memory serves me correct, there should be 3 more on the bench??… As you know I love your builds. BTW, that would look REALLY good here in beautiful Victoria at the duece days show in July, just sayin….. You may want to book a hotel.

Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve!

Thanks for the comments. Yep, three more in the paint booth as we speak. As they say on TV: "Stay tuned, more to come"...

As to Victoria: I would like to attend this event, I read so much about it. I made it to the easter flank of the Rockies, but BC is still on my bucket list!

Who knows?

Just righteous!  The colour looks perfect, fit and finish belies the dramas you had with it.  I like the detailing on the steering wheel. One really clean model!

Cheers

That looks great!I That car inspired me too when it was featured and started one myself a number of years ago (I'm really good at starting projects ?) I used mostly stuff from my parts inventory, some scratch built items, Pegasus wheels and was trying a couple of different resin track noses.

Again outstanding build!! Thanks for a bump for inspiration!

Hi Michael!

Well, if it can be any inspiration to you, it's been worth it! Thanks for the comments.

Fabulous! The purplelicious lacquer works so well with all the crome! Just like your inspiration this one deserves to be on a cover!

Thank you Oliver!

The chrome was a challenge, because much of it ended up applied with Molotow, and I aimed at having the least discernible difference between the vacuum chrome of kit parts and the "home made" stuff. Came out acceptable...

Nicely done! The car that inspired you is one of my favorites. I still have the original magazine, purchased at the newsstand, dog-eared with much reading over the years. Something about the proportions of that car stopped me in my tracks. I like your version too!

This is an excellent little rod which all flows together nicely and shows how much thought has gone into it.  A slice of originality and more details to catch the eye each time you view it certainly adds up to a stand-out model.

Hi James!

Thanks for the comments. But you know, Doctor, that little rod almost drove me nuts. Styrene glue was the only remedy, I am afraid...

Hi Chris!

Thank you. The cover car owner happened to be a Canadian, from Alberta if I remember correctly. I suppose you knew that, since you got the SRM issue in question?

Thought I had replied to this, what a gorgeous little hot rod! How you guys get all those chrome bits together while still keeping them flawless looking is beyond me, beautiful job on this build!

Hi Tom!

Thanks for the compliments. You are right: this much chrome complicates assembly and handling. That's the price to pay, I guess...

Another great build Claude!

You have an impressive (and constantly evolving...) catalog my friend.  Don't stay too long because you are very productive and talented dear colleague!  I remember having a good discussion with a real hot rod builder during my last presence at a live show (it seems so far away...) and he told me that he could do everything he wanted on a real vehicle but that he could not do the same on his scale models.  You, you can do it brilliantly on any scale which makes you a very talented man, this is another good example! I love it!!!

You probably forgot the license plate but I notice that the air valves on the wheels are there! ?

Hi Francis!

Thanks for the comments. You are right: it seems eons since we were able to attend a live show. I look forward to the RAM in Drummond. Hope they are able to do it this coming march, Omicron or not... If they are allowed to fill hockey arena to the rafters, why not a model show?

You too should try filling your Dodge drag pick-up slicks with nitrogen. Who knows? It might improve the ET a bit. Not that I'm worried, in light of the powertrain!

That's really cool. Nice color combo. Very simple but great hot rod.

Hi Michael!

Thank you. Indeed, it seems the simpler they look, the more complicated they are to complete. Go figure...

Sweet, sweet ride CT. The more complicated a small street rod like this one is the more difficult it is to achieve the delicate balance between form and function. Great mash up my friend!
