Picked up the curbside edition of this 63 Chevy Nova wagon at WalMart. Also the 64 Olds Cutlass convertible that I already had to strip the Krylon paint from (I should know better by now). The satins are fine for interiors but the glosses just don't work on bodies. The Nova is painted with Testors Nassau Blue metallic, rubbed out and foiled (very tedious with this bad foil). The black and white added to the side trim were cut from decals. I thought about adding a six cylinder engine but I think I just waif and see if I can pick up the kit with the engine included.

I don't know what color I'll paint the 64 yet. From pictures, it appears that colors are limited to white, black, red, light blue metallic or sun yellow. I'll have to re-visit the color chart again. Thanks for looking! ?

That Nassau Blue metallic on the wagon looks spot on.  Red with a black top would look good on the 64.

Hi John, Good start on the Chev wagon, looking forward to more as I really enjoyed your build of the 57 Bel Air and I’m sure it will be another eye candy delight!

Thanks, Bob and Misha! I appreciate your comments!

I got on a roll yesterday and today and completed this one rather quickly! This is a curbside without an engine and the door panels had little, if any detail, so I didn't spend time on the interior. I decided to black out the side windows. I used the darkened paper glasses that you get when you get your annual eye check (or at least old people get every year). I don't like sunglasses so I don't have any but you these once a year to drive home. I save them for just this purpose. Limousine black window tint.

Now I have a sister model to the Polar Lights 63 Nova SS kit that i built at least 20 years ago. The paint is the same color Nassau Blue Metallic, although it may be a little faded with age. Thanks for looking!
