Amazing creativity and workmanship! If you were to ever apply to Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, CA, this collection could qualify as a portfolio.

My favorite is also that rear engine Charger, it would be an absolute hit in 1:1 at the National Roadster Show. Speaking of NRS, I remember seeing a first gen Camaro with a second gen Corvair roof grafted onto it, it was wonderful and it would be my request if you were ever to do a commission for me.

Hello Claude! Man I love your creations. Your builds are among my favourites. Do you think we could talk you into doing a WIP sometime so we can see the creative process? Keep the builds coming sir. Happy holidays and all the best for 2022.

Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve!

Thank you for the compliments, they mean a lot to me coming from a modeler of your caliber and creativity. And that is without mentionning your patience, And that, my friend, I don't have in sufficient amount to document my building sessions as yourself, and many other spectacular modelers,  are kind enough to bless us with on this forum.

I did it once for a commissionned built for a  special issue magazine, and I found it very demanding, photo wise. I'm not very good at pictures... And I always have 3 to 4 projects evolving at once on my bench (I know, it's not the ideal way to go!). I would quickly get loss in the photo schedule, I fear.

So be on the lookout, they will ultimately trickle down, completed. on this fine forum.

Happy holidays to you and your loved ones, and a great '22 at the bench.

Regards,

awesome builds, love all the colors and custom work

Hi Cliff!

Thank you. You should know that I agonize over color selection on every built. I do test panels over and over again before I ultimately make up my mind.

Oh well...

Very sweet customs. The Silver Charger is off the hook!

Thank you Bill!

Well, it gets a lot of second glances... and generates a lot of questions. That's the fun part!

Hi John!

Thanks for the compliments. Your Camaro idea could be very stylish, I agree. The only Camaro I ever did was the highly modified 69 (see below). But I might steal your idea in 2022, who knows... I have the Corvair in my stash, and I'll be on the lookout for the original Camaro!

Have a safe 2022!

Not much more I can say that hasn't been already said Claude.  Those are masterful builds?

Thank you Mike!

I was in your neck of the woods once, for the NSRA in Knoxville. I loved it!

Your Camaro with the integrated flip hood and doors is totally bitchen. Here’s a shot of the Camaro-Corvair car (with a 409!) that I mentioned, I think this roof actually improves the appearance of the first gen. car.

Hi John!

Thanks for the comments, and the picture. This is a 69, and the slimmer rear pillars almost makes it akin to the "bubble top" variety of the early 60's (from the side, at least!).

Reminds me of some concept cars that Detroit commissionned with Italian coach builders in the early 60's. I think one was called the "Rondine", but I can't remember on which OEM car it was based. The Corvette, maybe?

Very skilful work there, love the Starliner wagon!

Hi Gareth!

Thanks for the comments. I also have a soft spot for the Starliner with the Alter Nomad roof. I called it "MadLiner". An experiment with an old can of Metalflake Cherry Candy Lacquer...

Claude my friend, you are simply one of the best builders I know!!! ?

However, with all the imagination I know you have, I wonder how you couldn't have thought of building a Ranchero or an El Camino paired with a limousine.  That way you would have a cargo solution to transport all those wonders to the next show and enough space to bring your many friends with you!

I hope to be part of the trip and that you will save a "small" place for me, my suitcase will be very thin...

Happy New Year my friend, I am sure you will continue to amaze us in 2022!!! ?

Great builds. The paint on the VW is stunning

Thank you Lee!

The base is House of Kolor, topped with Testor's WetLook clear. The "effects" were done with various Gel Pen (2.29$ each at Michael's). I tried to recreate the crazy early 70's CobWebbing effect, but with less trouble than spraying it in the conventionnal manner. Just a fun experiment...
