cheyenne93 Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 This is my first attempt at doing a chopped top. Think it's looking ok so far. The engine is a blown 572 chev. from Iceman. Wheels are parts box. Headers are scratch built. Going to do a semi gasser kinda thing. Mabe leave it in primer, once I get that far. As always feel free to comment. 3
FLHCAHZ Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Looking great! Killer stance and that engine......
NOBLNG Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 The chop looks just right.? Is that just part of a plastic drinking straw for a collector on the headers…good idea!
customline Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 That's a mighty fine chop! ?. Gotta stay tuned on this one.

cheyenne93 Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 So got back to the 5 window. Didn't care for the first headers I built for it, so I built another set. Think they look better than the first ones. Having a warm up so hope to get it in primer. First set on the left. Second set right. Feel free to give input. 1
Dennis Lacy Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 For your first chop looks like it turned out pretty nice! Car has a really tuff look to it. The second header looks much better. The sweep and larger diameter primaries make it looks really aggressive.
customline Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Yup, the second set. How did you make the juice box straw conform to the four pipes at the junction? It made me think of shrink-tube.

It made me think of shrink-tube. Well, on the second set I actually used styrene tube. Then used pro weld to glue them. While styrene is still soft I shape it to the tubes with an awl. Then sand.

I gotta try that ? !

cheyenne93 Posted February 10, 2022 Author Posted February 10, 2022 Got the coupe painted. Really diggin the flat black. Gotta chrome the pipes. Doing the interior two tone brown with black piping on the seat and door panels. (pics to come). As always feel free to comment. Thanks 2
Bullybeef Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Now it’s looking aggressive, I dig the headers as well.
mrm Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Looking really good. Are you going to leave it flat black?

cheyenne93 Posted February 12, 2022 Author Posted February 12, 2022 A couple of interior shots before final assembly.
Zippi Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Your 32 is looking pretty sharp. I like the Hot Rod black and the interior color.
