This is my first attempt at doing a chopped top. Think it's looking ok so far. The engine is a blown 572 chev. from Iceman.  Wheels are parts box. Headers are scratch built. Going to do a semi gasser kinda thing. Mabe leave it in primer, once I get that far. As always feel free to comment.

The chop looks just right.? Is that just part of a plastic drinking straw for a collector on the headers…good idea!

That's what it is. From one of the grandsons juice boxes.

So got back to the 5 window. Didn't care for the first headers I built for it, so I built another set. Think they look better than the first ones. Having a warm up so hope to get it in primer. First set on the left. Second set right. Feel free to give input.

For your first chop looks like it turned out pretty nice! Car has a really tuff look to it. The second header looks much better. The sweep and larger diameter primaries make it looks really aggressive.

Yup, the second set. How did you make the juice box straw conform to the four pipes at the junction? It made me think of shrink-tube.

Well, on the second set I  actually used styrene tube. Then used pro weld to glue them. While styrene is still soft I shape it to the tubes with an awl. Then sand.

Pro weld? Is that a solvent type? The solvent softens the big tube enough to form it? It looks like the real thing. I gotta try that ? !
