Remember it vividly.

I was speeding on the 605 fwy northbound in my Camaro, I was 21 and trying to get to a new hobby shop before I was scheduled to go to work that day.

True story!

BTW, I still went to the hobby shop, but only briefly.

1997. Driving my new to me 1987 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R down Red Bug Lake Rd. in Casselberry,FL to Wal-Mart to get my mom a birthday card. Speed limit was 45, I was doing 70. It was at night and I saw a car behind me and was wondering why he following me so closely. I should have known it was a cop because I recognized the headlight pattern of the Chevy Caprice the Seminole County Sheriff's Office had at the time.?

I put the ticket in the card as a "surprise" My mom didn't think it was funny.? I think the fine was for about $150.

Easy...I was in my early 20s dating a girl (who I’m married to now) sitting at a stop sign. Looked left and turned left. Unbeknownst to me, I had pulled out in front a town police. He immediately pulled me over. Well BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH! Neither of us had seatbelts on too. Anyhow, the cop gave me a ticket for seatbelts. I guess it’s better than a moving violation.

When my mom found out after I told my dad, she flipped. I thought.... what is she so worked up about? She don’t drive either! LOL!

The car I was driving when I got my first traffic ticket was a ‘78 Chevy Monte Carlo. Never received another traffic ticket since.

I was 14 and a friend and I were riding small CC motorcycles in the fields around my house. The trick was we had to ride on the street to get to the fields. I still remember the front of the cop car coming over the hill and we did what we always did. We ditched him - sort of. I went one way and my friend went another. I get to my house and threw my bright red windbreaker in the bushes in front of the house. (I'll never know why I did that.) I ran up to my room and within 15 minutes there was a knock on the door. My mom answered and called me down. The cop took me out on the street in front of the whole neighborhood and gave a ticket for unlicensed drive and evading arrest, while making fun of me for throwing the red marker in front of my house to make it easier to find me. My friend got his ticket before I got mine.

1989 I was 16 years old.. Got caught street racing in a 84 mustang gt racing a buddy's 79 z28.. Got a free ride to jail and had to call my parents.  It took months to recover from the fines.

My first ticket was quite late in my driving life, I was maybe 27 years old or there abouts. I had a 1974 Vauxhall VX4/90 that always felt underpowered for the car it was. I had a mechanic buddy look at it and the timing was way way out, so he set it up right and adjusted the carburettors. Whoo whowho!! I flew out of the garage spinning wheels and loving the torque! I got a few hundred yards up the road, not even a mile, then I seen the flashing blues in my mirrors! xD I explained basically what I just wrote here and he was pretty cool about it, but still wrote out an £80 fine for my momentary fit of pure enjoyment! He did let me off the hook for not wearing a seatbelt though, so I can't complain really. haha.

I once GAVE a ticket to a gal in a late '70s Chevy Monte Carlo for doing 77 mph in a 25 mph zone.  Very narrow country road with high shoulders and hedges, limited visibility and many blind driveways-think of your classic English country lane transported to California.  She said her boyfriend had just finished working on her car and she wanted to test it.  He did good work.

I was 16 driving my Dad's 61 Chevy Impala with the 348 engine. I got stopped for loud mufflers. My dad had installed glass packs on it because at the time they were cheaper than regular mufflers. We lived in a small town and everyone knew everyone. It was a County Deputy that gave me the ticket. Of course my Dad knew the Sheriff and he took that ticket and headed to the Sheriff's office, that was last I seen it. I ask him about it a few days later and he said I took it to " Sheriff's name" and ask him, why the heck do they sell glass packs if they are against the law, the Sheriff tore up the ticket.

I guess the cop wasn't a model builder, he would have understood otherwise and gone with you! haha,

"New hobby shop? why didn't you say? Don't you worry sir, I'll get you there in no time, follow me!" ?
