Do the usual body prep and prime. I used Duplicolor silver over that. Airbrushed three coats of the Alclad. Do NOT try to clearcoat, it will dull the rainbow effect. Then on to finishing the model.

I have a Corvette ZR-1 engine that I've been looking for a home for ever since the car it was in got wrecked. It fits nice here. Then either creagers or 5-slot mags, haven't decided which just yet.

How durable is the Alclad without clear?

Second time I've done this paint. THEY say it holds up to masking. But one test body I did it striped right off when I tried masking tape.  I plan to go very careful on the window trim masking.

Also, I did use clear on the Porsche 918 and it really killed the prism effect, probably cutting it back 40% from uncleared. At this time, I'm not recommending clear.

I really like the Molotow chrome paint pens. It took me about ten minutes to do the interior chrome trim. I flocked the bottom part of the door to be carpet, need another spray of paint to color it.
