Justin Porter Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 The joy of an older project is the number of subassemblies you had already put together so wrapping this up actually went fairly quickly. After a bit of a tussle that included choosing to ditch the forward tilting hinges of the nose, my MPC 1/25th scale Mako Shark II is all finished. Wheels and tires are from the Revell '67 Corvette roadster kit and paint is Gunze Sangyo Mr Metallic Icy Silver and Dark Blue under Tamiya TS-13 clear. 2
espo Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Great looking build. The fade paint job really stands out.
Rich Chernosky Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Justin..nice job on this iconic Corvette show car.
Mr. Metallic Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Very nicely done. You nailed the paint job. I received a set of the Mako specific parts from my good friend Chuck, and will combine that with the Enforcer version of this tooling to build mine.
bisc63 Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Very nice work, love the paint fade-away. Well done.
happy grumpy Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 Great paint job on the mako . Makes me want to build one. Beautiful color and finish.
