rsmodels Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I just finished these a couple of weeks ago. Hope you like the photos. Fell free to comment-good or bad. Rich 1
misterNNL Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Cleanly built and excellent foil work. Thanks for sharing.
Kah puts Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 OMG they look marvelous, I had no idea that AMT put so much detail into their 1\43 scale line, bravo.
Phirewriter Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) They both look great! Nice to see the AMT 43rd scale kits built up that nice. If any of the the molds still exist it would be nice to see Round2 reissue this line of kits. Edited March 29, 2022 by Phirewriter 1
espo Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Both excellent looking builds. The Comet especially shows just how nice one of the old kits can look with attention to clean detailing as seen here.
bh1701 Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 The little Thunderbird looks really great! ... and also the Comet!
Maindrian Pace Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Both beautiful, and as the owner of a '60 Comet wagon, those cars always get my attention.
rsmodels Posted March 29, 2022 Author Posted March 29, 2022 Thanks guys, I appreciate all the kind comments. Rich
oldnslow Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Nice , I drove a 60 to high school my junior year .
RAMBENNA Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 fabulous builds, looks great, both are nicely done
Rodent Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I have the 1/43 Chevelle and Torino. They are really nice little kits and would probably sell OK if the molds are still around. If they weren't $30.
Can-Con Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Both are fantastic. Shows you don't need a 300 piece super detailed kit to build a great looking model.
rsmodels Posted March 31, 2022 Author Posted March 31, 2022 I can't believe all the comments. Thanks again, guys! I'll be posting more builds as right now I have the time. Rich
unclescott58 Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 I love these old AMT kits. My folks had a real/full size ‘61 Comet they bought brand new when I was a kid. It was dark blue with same color interior as in your model. In fact, I’m impressed with how good of a job you did on the interior of you kit. From what I remember your kits interior looks exactly like our Comet’s. I love the T-Bird too. I love almost all Thunderbirds. And I love those 1/43 scale kits AMT issued back in the late 60’s.

Thank you for your remarks on these two and the others you commented on. I agree about the 1/43 kits AMT made. They did a great job on them and the 1/32 series too. -Rich
