crazyjim Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Finished my 1953 Studebaker the other day. Paint is HOK sunrise pearl with HOK bittersweet pearl on sides and front. Wheels & tires are from the spare parts bin; exhuast also from the parts bin with polished aluminum tips; rolled pans fron & rear; filled the grill up front and the taillights in back and then created new taillight in the pan. 3
espo Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Really colorful paint treatment. I like the way you changed the front grills, this looks smoother than the original design.
Street Rod Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I like this! The colors suit the car very well. Good job!
TransAmMike Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Very sharp Jim. I have that model in my stash for the future. Great job??
crazyjim Posted July 31, 2022 Author Posted July 31, 2022 Thank you David, Larry, Doyle, Philippe, Rob, and Mike. Nice kit but getting the front end down was a chore.
Nosferatu Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Nice color combo! I will put this Stude on my list to get.
crazyjim Posted July 31, 2022 Author Posted July 31, 2022 Thank you David. It's the double whammy kit.
Slotto Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Nice clean build. Great work on the engine. I dig the colors too
happy grumpy Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Very cool build. The bright colors make it really pop. The engine really stands out. You achieved a really smooth surface finish.
Bugatti Fan Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Nice model. Those old Studebakers are to my eye one of the nicest looking American cars with very restrained styling compared to most in the Chrome and Fins era.
mrmike Posted August 2, 2022 Posted August 2, 2022 Looks great Jim! I should get back to mine some day!
Zippi Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Nice looking Stude. Love the two tone. Nicely done.
