Had tried numerous little caps and  lids with ho hum results.  On my crowded work area (is there any other?) , I would occasionally touch the glue with some part or tool.  Well, I am trying this empty pill bottle (with old people, they are ubiquitous), half filled with lead pellets for stability, and on the bottom is a nice little trough for the ca glue or accelerator, or whatever you like.  It is sufficiently high off the bench and sturdy/spill resistant.  Of course, the price is right.

I made some glue reservoirs by drilling partway through some clear acrylic I have. Then I figured that was a good use also for hardened leftover resin.

Believe it or not, I use the hollow end of a 177 caliber pellet. Works great when I need just a little and I have about 300 of them. It's getting harder to find the flat nosed type so I bought a bunch. I also use them in my air rifle of course.

Well that’s another use for them besides wheel tubs and storing small parts. And you’re right, there is no shortage of them. If you don’t have a prescription for something by now, you gotta know someone who does.?

I usually just put a dab on a scrap piece of plastic or carstock. It gets tossed when I'm done, that way there is a very minimal chance I'll touch it and get it everywhere. Although I still manage.

My table top is glass. I put a drop on the glass at the far left corner and scrape it off when dry with a worn out single edge blade. My favorite applicator is the leftover ends from sprue stretching sessions (I'm a ship modeler).
