bbbbbbutt...it's nookulur !!!!!  OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the meantime, I'm holding out for the Studebaker Manta Ray, which obtains its environmentally-sustainable energy from decomposing medical waste fed to genetically-modified electric eels wired in series, living in an onboard tank.

Reminds me of an old movie. Hmm, what was it's name?

PZeroes and big ol’ 6 piston Brembos. ?? Most boards I’m on have similar threads and results. Automotive equivalent of a Twix commercial. Lol. Need Avelli on the plate.

It might become a popular kit (maybe snap kit form) but I bet a Hotwheels/Matchbox would/will be more popular.

I still think that Ford should have brought back an older name for that thing like Galaxie (spelled Galax-E) but what do I know.

If a kit came out out for the Mustang Mach E will there be much of a market for it? In my opinion it looks just like almost every other car out there in that class, Makes about as much sense as a 4DR Charger.

I was thinking about this post today and the more I thought about it, the more how ridiculous it would be for a model kit. There’s nothing with the wow factor under the hood except maybe a big old simple rectangular block of a battery with zero bling. Might as well make it a snap kit instead of glue together kit.

Making the front open would be a disappointment. it's just a trunk. Nothing to see. Can't even see the motors or batteries unless it's in the air and has covers taken off. Would make a decent curbside. Like the new ROG Audi e-tron. Or the ROG Porsche Panamera which is basically curbside.

I can only imagine. A pure EV with a Corvette badge on the front.

Just wait until next year when the Charger EV finally hits the streets. Same thing.

Heads...exploding everywhere.

lolz

I think the charger will be less shocking (pun intended) simply because those guys already lost it at 4 doors. It took putting the hellcat in it for it to be really accepted, the rt and superbee stickers just seemed to make people angrier

Bet y’all going to stroke when EVette comes out.

I already had that moment when I found the current Tobette couldn't be had with a manual gearbox.

But you gotta play to your low-T audience, I guess.

Now I'm perpetually shaking my head, at least when I'm not shouting at clouds.   ;)

The Ford is the MachE, so not really claimed as full Mustang. Besides, I’ve not heard of one running anyone over at a Cars and coffee so it doesn’t meet that definition either

Bill, every DCT or PDK box I’ve ever had was so much faster around a track it isn’t funny. Seconds faster. Drive a 911 with PDK, it’ll rock your world. Even sons GLi is nuts. My dd has a dry clutch auto, I use paddles unless in ugly traffic. My 550 stick I could leave in 2nd and drive it like automatic in traffic. Miss that car

Charger Hemi is the weapon of choice for inner city street racers, half of them stolen. Every weekend Philly news shows start out with an accident report showing a trail of parts, but no recognizable car from the previous evening’s oopsies.

When I first heard of an electric Charger all I could think of was how this crowd would more efficiently kill themselves along with unfortunate motorists and pedestrians in their path!

I know, and my unspeakably tragic disillusionment began when the slushboxes became pretty much unbeatable in supercharged gassers in the early '60s.

I'm not currently concerned with track-days (nor are 99% of buyers I'd wager; they'll never experience anything like the potential 6-piston Brembos and P Zeros offer, either), and my old 911 has a lovely 5-speed that lets me play sweet sweet music on that 6-lunged instrument I love so dearly, with an actual mechanical link from my very own hand. What a concept.

But then again, I like riding horses too.   B)

Don't mind me, just poking the bear...

I dig it.  Looking at the pic it looks almost like a scion tc how the roof is low like that.  Love the front grill though very clean and crisp. Big P-51 fighter except it has 4 legs lol.

@Ace-Garageguywhich year 911? I had 74 S, mistakenly fitted with 2.8 pistons and barrels, brown tensioners, and sport muffler. Had 993 TT Andial with stick too. Rest were 991.2 PDK’s. RS was hysterically fun.
Track days sadly underattended. Most 911’s are commuters. ??Their SUVs out sell them over 10 to 1. Sigh.

Mine's a '74 S too, but a tired Targa I bought years ago specifically to do a widebody Speedster clone for a client who'd seen some of my other Porsche work. He ran out of money early on (divorce), I kept the car, and I'm glad 'cause I couldn't afford to replace it since the crazy rise in prices. Almost rust-free, faded color-change respray, daily driver condition.

The current plan is to build it as a Singer-esque (long hood) Speedster, but chopped, concurrently with the '32 Ford roadster build.

EDIT: NOTE TO THE DIGRESSION POLICE...I've been a very, very bad dog. My head is bowed in shame.

Especially if they decide to turn it into another 4 door SUV.

Boy, we sure could use a couple more of them.

Yeah, they're faster, but the flappy paddle shifters are not as much fun as rowing the gears.

I used to work for Porsche, and the manual trans 911 Turbo was just so much more enjoyable than the PDK car.  Zero to 60 is only 3.4 sec as opposed to 3.1? I could live with that.

I've since been able to drive a lot of cars in both the manual and semi-auto / auto versions. I'll take the slower manual every time.
