Yeah, it was really hard. I had 3 "toy" cars when I retired and we moved 2000 miles away. I just couldn't take them with me because we moved before we bought a place. The cash infusion was nice though...

Just give me enough money that I can take my model up to the local hot rod shop, plunk it on the counter and say, "Hey, I want you to build me this!"

Why not build it yourself for a fraction of the cost? People still do.

That is cool!  I have an old Monogram '31 Woody that can be restored like that design. Thanks for sharing this photo and for the idea.
