This is my attempt to get building again and finish this Lola GT.  It is a long OOP Scale Kraft 1/24 resin kit from South Africa.

I am trying to build it as accurately as possible to represent the 1963 Le Mans entry #6.

The body has been modified by filling in the roof top NACA duct and opening the side ducts and lower rear ducts to match the configuration at Le Mans.

The major hurdle so far has been a color photo of the interior so I am having to make guesses from black and white photos.  The body has been painted with Tamiya TS 9 British Green with a Tamiya clear coat.

A resin caster in Europe by the name of DDR made a few resin kits which I believe is a repop of this body but the chassis and interior are different.

Despite being house cleaning day here in the woods, I was able to get some more done.  Finished off the interior by changing out the seats and adding belts and an extinguisher.  Also changed out the Webers to printed ones though this is probably the last time you will see them as they will be hidden.  That is my excuse for not adding plug wires.  Also got the window install started.

Rare rare rare rare - from the late Guido Feuw (sp) of South Africa ….

Guido had a really interesting catalog of resin kits and was quite the character.  Unfortunately, while mountain climbing in Europe he fell and was seriously injured.

See if DDP has any left - i bought their kit of the Sebring car bout 6 mos ago ….

Did a search and found that bluerace24.com and racingkars.com have the DDP listed though it may only be on request? Both sell for 150 pounds.

Very nice! The valve covers are upside-down, on a Ford Windsor engine the taper is narrower at the top and wider at the bottom.

Thank you Rick for pointing that out.  That was just plain careless on my part. I got them fixed.  For those that don't know Rick is a hands on 1:1 expert on Cobras and GT40s.

I briefly had what I believe is a DDR Lola but there was no identification.  I did find these photos on my phone and the green one is the Scale Kraft and the unpainted one is the DDR if my assumption is true.  As you can see the bodies look the same but the chassis and interiors are different.

I had not seen the photo above so thank you.  The top cars are the Scarabs and the bottom I am not sure.  Here is a picture with the same load and the bottom car has the same obscured number and is more clearly not a rear engined Cooper.
