doorsovdoon Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Nice build. I love these old sporty Triumphs.
papajohn97 Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I’ve read that these Gunze kits are not easy to assemble well (lots of flashy & rubber parts?). Your TR2 came out so nice now I want to find one of these kits to try. Beautiful job! My brother had a beater TR3 back in the 70’s, it was an absolute blast to drive (on over-inflated worn tires!).

Thanks. There really wasn't any flash but it does have a rubber parts tree. It included the tires (of course), the interior panels, the seats, the cockpit trim in the front and rear. and upper and lower parts of the window frame. The window frame is a stupid way of constructing it out of four parts. I used Molotow chrome on it.
echo Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 I always liked the British sports cars and yours looks great, nice job on all areas of your successful build.
Justin Porter Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Genuinely great seeing that this turned out looking so good.
happy grumpy Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Nice looking building . I've always liked the funny look of this car. So classic.
1959scudetto Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Well done classic British roadster with steelies instead of the ever-present wire wheels !
espo Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Great looking finishes and I like the right-hand drive.
Bainford Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 Nice work on this quirky little Triumph. Back in the 80s there was one of these in the same colour in my neighbourhood. When I clicked on this page, I was instantly transported back to those days.
jaymcminn Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 What a clean build. I'm eyeing the one in my stash now!
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Triumph fan here. Good to see your sharp model. Red paint is good on the early Triumphs.
Kenmojr Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Love these old Triumphs and MGs. I was not aware there were kits available for the Triumphs. Great build.
