There are files available for the dually wheels that were made to fit the moebius tires

Erik, great news!  Looking forward to building this one.

It inspired me to drag out my old Chevy wrecker... this is one I did about 15 years ago.  Both the truck and the wrecker are old Herb Deeks resins.  I also have a '50 Chevy COE he did; as I recall he also did a similar 2-ton Ford conventional and COE.  Wish I had gotten those as well!

Erik I recently saw a different version of the tow bed. Is the plan to have both in the kit?

Two different beds, scuttlebutt is there will be more than one release of the wrecker with different year cabs.

That's what I did with my old built up 60 & 63 ford trucks. I had 3 60s & 2 63s, I got enough out of them to buy a bunch of these wreckers.

I sold 2 at a show last year, sealed kits from 1978, they sold fast. The last ones I have are opened, but they should still fetch a decent price. Likely a wash with the new kit pricing which I bet will go for $40-ish.

Oh cool! Never knew this existed. I wonder if the wrecker body would fit on other pickups, because it'd be nice to do a GM version.

EDIT: Never mind, I forgot about the Revell wrecker kit.

Don't be too fast. That Midnight Cowboy kit has a very nice Holmes Trooper Wrecker set up. We sold them in the 80s, as an upgrade to the 440s.

I have a couple of complete kits, open box, plus some of just the backs I have gathered over the years. I have done a bunch of research and they are very accurate. I drove trucks with the 440 winches and some older Weldbilt ones. That company was local to me for many years.

Strange thing...even AFTER some of the new kits are released AND are pretty widely known, there are still people out there willing to pay decent money for an original or an earlier version.  Nova station wagons, '60-'63 Ford pickups, you name it.  I didn't cut loose any of my Ford pickups or Novas, as they are already paid for, and I did gather up some needed Modelhaus small parts and kept an eye open for parts trees and other things over the years.

I will likely sit out the 1st wave of these, but will watch on eBay. My one local shop will be hit or miss with these I'm sure. The under $40 price is pretty good.

A 70's F350  4x4 would have been a rare bird in 1:1, would have been an aftermarket conversion  by Napco, curious if it comes with a  2WD twin I beam front suspension also.

I worked close to Weldbilt Wreckers and got to see what was going on there. They would generally order cab and chassis combos from Ford and Chevy dealers. I probably have seen only a few 4WD rigs.
